Custom Lesson Series – 3 One Hour Lesson and a Family Trail Ride

This is a great opportunity if your scouts are looking for more than just 2hrs of horses. Lessons start from the ground up teaching scouts how to properly lead, brush, and saddle their horse. During this time Pine River Stable staff also covers basic nutrition and fun facts about horses and their care. Then the children mount their horse and are given a riding lesson in the arena. The focus of riding time is learning the basic controls of stopping, turning right and left, making a horse listen to its rider and making the kids comfortable in the saddle and with the animal.

The last day of the series all scouts are encouraged to invite the whole family out for a group trail ride so they can show off the skill they learned in the arena.
